I’m particularly interested in preventing and reversing Type 2 Diabetes. as My grandmother, who I adored, died too early of complications from this disease and I could have helped her to reverse it, had I known what I know now.
Type 2 Diabetes is closely linked to most chronic diseases such as Heart disease and cancer so improving blood sugar regulation and metabolic health will help reduce the risk of chronic disease and improve longevity.
Kids need stable blood sugar in order to learn and concentrate at school. However, our typical western diet for most kids is high in sugar and processed foods which sends blood sugar on a roller coaster which can result in poor concentration and behaviour problems, but it is also setting them on the road to Type 2 Diabetes which is becoming increasingly common in kids.
